Can having a violent sister effct you in life?

I started doing therapy a while ago after getting advice on here but this is the one thing that seemed to traumatise me the most, i havent been back as i had no money but will be doing again soon, for eg my first 2 memories where i have terrified by her, i also feel a need to be dominated by women i just wonder if this could have something to do with it/

thanks

Yes and yes. Violence is very traumatic for a small child becasue the child is so vulnerable. Trauma is released by getting back to the original incident but in a safer way. So recreating the domination of a woman would help you to connect to these memories and feelings about them; in theory. It is probably healthier though to talk it through, rather than act it out and it might work better and be safer.
