Orlando, Florida. (3 hurricanes in 1 month) Glad to share information, even though that's not what this site is meant for really.

Hope you get some relief, no matter how you get it. Best wishes.

Antidepressant...six weeks to fully see a difference.

Zispin? Not familiar with that brand name.

Since it's only 8:35pm here, just made a great cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea. It contains valerian...so it lulls you to sleep. Great alternative to sleep medications. (And no terrifying experiences either) Do you have that brand wherever you are? It's great.

thanks for the good luck!! i hope this new one works.

not heard of that kind of tea...will look out for it tho...i need something apart from pills to help me sleep. apparently you get immune to them after a while too and i don't want that.

do you know what generic drug name lexapro is? zispin is mirtazapine. only to be taken in the morning and you just let it dissolve on your tongue! ....weird.

btw, i'm in london, england.

London? That's wonderful. How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful and historical city.

I will find out today if there is a generic name for it. The prescription bottle says that the manufacturing company is "Forest", whatever that means, so maybe that would help.

If you can't find the brand Celestial Seasonings in your regular grocery store chain, just try a health food store, and they will have a similar kind of herbal tea...under another name. Valerian tablets can be purchased at a health food store, but they are too strong for me and the valerian itself actually smells horrible...so tea is a soothing way to gently relax and fall asleep naturally...and tastes a great deal better! Only drink this tea when you need to fall asleep; don't take it with your breakfast before work...or you'll never get there...LOL!

There is no other name for Lexapro in the US...however the pharmacist gave me its chemical name. That may help. He also suggested that it may not be approved in Great Britain, or it could be marketed under another name in your country, so that's why your doctor was not familiar with it...so here goes:

Chemical name: escitalopram

Best Wishes

aah...that's the first one i tried....didn't agree with me...made me feel very trippy and unpleasant. this new one zizpin i have, which i'm gonna take later on, has very few side effects...well.....at least they don't seem to list nausea and anxiety as side effecst which are my main problems.

...and the second one i tried was a type of seroxat which is in the news over here right now for causing a lot of people to attempt or succeed in committing suicide!! enough of that one, i think!

thanks anyway..........and i'm already a normal tea addict!!! but i will search for some good herbal stuff.

take care.

Dear dpm,
What happened? Did you get your medication improved? Did you find the tea? Are you feeling any better? Please post to my email if you wish. We all care.

Best Wishes
