ok, ive recently be experiencing itching on and around my vigina and it driving me crazy! i have had a similar thing before and have recently shaved my pubic area and used a normal leg shaving foam...so this could have iritated it. but it is driving me crazy! everytime i go for a walk or wear jeans it rubs and itches like mad!! the area affected is the 'V' on the outside and closer to my actually vigina entrance..

i recently had sex with a guy that i now suspect had lots of sexual partners and athough we used a condom for the actual sex, we did have oral sex without one and i came into contact with this penis whilst he wasnt wearing a condom...

im so confused as the itching could be because of the shaving or the sex! im worried that i have an std!

what do you think?:-s

Hey,

I don't have any personal experience of STDs or pubic shaving for that matter, but from what I have heard, I think it's perfectly normal to feel really itchy when shaven hair is growing back in. It certainly feels like that on my face when I haven't shaved for a few days. I would suspect it would be worse in that region, as it is very sensitive and has clothing in contact with it all the time. If it was an STD I would have thought you would have had something like spots before the itching. But as I say, I am no expert and perhaps someone else can offer better info on that. I really doubt that it would be an STD though. For one thing, without getting too graphic, I would have thought it would be your mouth area rather than vagina that would be at risk if you wore a condom during sex but not oral sex.

I just found this site by searching on google which you might find useful:

wishing you an itch-free night!
