Hi Benjamin,
I hope you're getting lots of positive feedback from the series - I think you are brilliant in it.
Are you planning another series? And if not, what's next for you?
All the best,

Thanks. The viewing figures have more than quadrupled from epidsode one to five. There are another five to go starting on Monday. And I am still filmingÖ
Iím not sure if there will be another series. You could ask the bbc. Iím not sure whatís next for me either. Iím waiting to be headhunted by Roman Abramovitch, but until then Iíll be having a bit of a rest. Perhaps a daytime TV show would be nice, like Jerry Springer but with resoloutions, or a "What's Wrong With You" program diagnosing problems on a broader spectrum than just debt.

Hi Benjamin,
Glad to hear you are filming further Spendaholics programmes, I have enjoyed the few that I have seen.
It has been VERY interesting watching your own (particularly skilful) approach to the Psychological aspect of debt.
As you are not quite sure which direction to take next, I know you will find this of interest.
I have actually been working on my own theory for the last 12 months and have made notes in order to start writing a book and much much more, my theory is amazingly close to your own work, the two parallel theories would sit so unbelievably well together.
I know this is an extremely exciting venture, please let me know if you are interested in hearing further
thanks

Disco,
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are about to start filming episode 2 for transmission some time in the autumn.
Regarding your ideas, one of the things that people and companies who deal in intellectual property have to be wary of is being confronted with other peopleís ideas. For example, if our ideas really are similar and you present me with yours then you could make a claim against a book I publish, even if it was written before I ever heard of you. The best defence against such claims is that ìwe never read itî, which is why publishers rarely read unsolicited material sent in by the public.
Iíd prefer to hear about your ìventureî rather than your ìtheoryî. After all, if your theory really is amazingly close to my own work then I pretty much know it already. How it could be used interestingly is perhaps more relevant.
Is that ok?

Hi again Benjamin,
Wonderful news on your second series, I am sure that the BBC will soon air it on BBC 1 mainstream in no time.
My theory predicts your protection of your intellectual property rights and "it's" physical laws also forbid the stealing of anothers work. I quote "You should trust others, unless they prove they can't be trusted"
"My theory is amazingly close to your own work" as in strawberries and cream, complimentary.......
I envisage a seperate company setup which would rightfully own it's particular intellectual properties and trademarks. You have experience in setting up an organisation, website, publishers, publicity etc.....
which would enable a truly huge beneficial short cut to be taken. Although not requiring a huge time commitment from yourself.
There is a saying to generate money start a business, to generate lots of money start a religion. My proposals are more along the lines of a religion, the main mission being to help the meek the sick and the needy.
Something akin to "yoga"" meditation" and the like a "lifestyle". In fact the two aforementioned would be very desirable within the new discipline.
An inevitable consequence of this would be the generation of very large sums of money.
It is unfortunate that in today's world success is measured in personal tangible assets. This being so it would obviously be a requirement that these would neccesarily be aquired, thus making the companies products ever more popular.
I am hoping that this is not too vague as I too am having to be very wary in protecting my own personal intellectual property.
I know that you are able to envisage how massive this would be and therefore the need to have a strong team and why the need for at least one Intelligent intellectual person to bounce ideas around with.
I am extremely grateful that you took the time and trouble to reply to my post Benjamin, I expect that just as I needed time to contemplate your reply, that you will need time to digest the contents of this post also and look foward to a reply at your leisure.
