I find it quite a coincidence (that word is for your benefit, as I don't believe in them!!) that so many people I read, hear about on the tv, and come across in every day life with debt problems (although I must add not all) are seperated from their dads, the dominant male figure in their lives I myself got into incredible debt after the loss of my dad and am now on the road to recovery thanks to Mr Fry. Maybe it triggers an urge too self destruct, maybe it is a form of rebelling against those we blame for the seperation, or maybe we just want the outside too look fantastic as the inside hurts so bad, and believe me losing that one person who you thought would be there to protect you from all types of harm(including bailiffs) has to leave you, you lose something inside that is irreplacable, something you never wished you would have to go without it can be soul destroying, I suppose it is a case of remembering that the only thing missing is their human form the love and bond is still present you just can't see it, all I can do for my dad now is to make him proud, sort out my finances, get a grip on reality and get through each day with a positive financial outlook as once we are in that circle of increasing debt it will keep going round and round as it is up to us to break the chain, if I can do it I know others can look at it as a challenge and with willpower and determination it is not impossible.
I have a little knowledge of the most likely reasons as I myself am a spendaholic, so I have had the pleasure (do not take that the wrong way!) of having Benjamin delve into my psyches it is all just sinking in and I am still getting my head round the fact that I have had all my inner thoughts and feelings compiled to make a tv programme, which is not so good!
There is definitely a reason behind everyones addictions and grief is an emotion that we all want too mask, for it is a low point in everyones life which will inevitably be faced by all of us I just wish as humans we put all our energy into something which benefits society in general and not our wardrobes!!
BUT IT'S SO MUCH FUN SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!
I really do hope you all find what you are searching for and stamp those debt problems out before you get to the stage I did and have the BBC do a programme as a means of finding the help you seek, there are other ways and means and if you are reading this then you are on the right track as you have found Mr Fry I wish you all the best of luck, he knows what he is talking about, just listen accept and work out a way round it, it is far better to face the problem head on then run away from it debt is one thing that burying your head in the duvet cannot save you from I know as I tried it.
